Individual insurance plans are designed for people who are not covered by employer-based insurance. Whether you are self-employed, retired, on Medicare, unemployed, or currently working for an employer that doesn’t offer the line of coverage you are looking for, individual insurance plans can offer you the coverage you need at a reasonable cost.
At Northwest Benefit Solutions, we can assist you in deciding what level of coverage fits your needs, and help you navigate the many plans and carriers available to get you on the plan you feel most comfortable with.
The Washington Healthplanfinder is the Health Exchange portal for residents of Washington State. People can use this portal to access health insurance plans, and to determine eligibility and gain access to tax credits that can lower the cost of their monthly health insurance premiums. Determining eligibility and choosing the right plan can be complicated endeavors, with many legal and financial pitfalls. The brokers and client managers at Northwest Benefit Solutions are trained and certified to assist our clients with selecting and enrolling in health and dental insurance plans on and off of the Washington Healthplanfinder.

Individual health insurance plans are designed for people who are not covered by employer-based medical insurance. We work the major carriers on the Washington Healthplanfinder, including (but not limited to):
-
Medicare is made up of four parts. Each Medicare part (designated by a letter) covers specific types of services and costs.
Part A is insurance for hospital expenses.
Part A helps pay for:
Inpatient hospital care
Skilled nursing facility care after a hospital stay
Some home health care and hospice services
Part B is insurance for medical services.
Part B helps pay for:
Doctor’s office visits and services
Most outpatient care
Home health care
Durable medical equipment
Many preventive services
Part C is also called Medicare Advantage.
Part C is offered through private insurers approved by Medicare and covers all the benefits of Part A and Part B with added benefits such as prescription drug coverage (Part D). Depending on the insurance plan, Part C may also include dental, hearing and/or vision services as well as health, wellness and fitness benefits.
Part D is prescription drug coverage.
Part D plans help cover out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs through copays and/or coinsurance. Part D is offered by private companies contracted by Medicare.
Medicare Supplement plans work alongside Original Medicare (Part A & Part B).
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans are identified by the letters A, B, C, D, F, G, M and N. Each insurance plan covers different costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover.
We work with Medicare compatible plans from Regence Blue Shield, Premera Blue Cross, Aetna Medicare, United Healthcare, and Wellcare. We do not work with every company offering plans in Washington. To view all of your options visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE

Vision insurance makes it easier to afford to keep up on the regular checkups and up-to-date hardware you need to keep your eyes healthy. In addition to evaluating your vision, eye exams can help you detect other health issues prior to other signs and symptoms, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Vision insurance provides benefits for a specific rate or premium; and different plan designs offer various levels of coverage and cost, as well as different choices in which providers you can visit.
We work with Vision Service Plan (VSP) because they have the widest vision provider network in the country, with over 32,000 contracted independent doctors nationwide. They are also the number 1 name in vision care – 1 in 5 Americans have VSP coverage.

Term Life Insurance
Term life insurance coverage lasts for a "term" you choose, usually 10, 15, 20, or 30 years. During that time, your life insurance premiums are guaranteed not to increase. If you pass away during that time period, your beneficiaries get a cash death benefit. If you live longer than the term period, you have the option to continue your life insurance coverage for an annual, renewable premium, which is generally much higher.
Northwest Benefit Solutions works closely with a trusted life insurance agency, Capital Enhancement Group, who specializes in all lines of life insurance coverage.
